MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi that has held sway in Delhi and Kolkata for the last some weeks, elbowed past its closest rivals in Bangalore and Mumbai as well in week 23, according to RAM data just out.

Bangalore

In Bangalore, Radio Mirchi managed a gain of 3.5 percentage points, to end at a market share of 20.8 per cent, to nudge out Big FM from the top spot, which lost 2.5 percentage points and held on a market share of 18 per cent. Fever clung to its third position in the market, despite having lost 1 percentage point, and having a share of 12.3 per cent of the market. AIR's Rainbow came a close fourth with a share of 12.2 per cent, and Radio City followed close behind with a share of 12 per cent.

Delhi

Mirchi held on its wide margin lead in Delhi over Fever, with a market share of 24.7 per cent, having gained 0.5 percentage points. Fever, with its share of 16.5 points, came second having lost 0.5 points. AIR's FM Gold station, with its share of 14.9 per cent, stayed at third place, above Radio City, with a share of 10.3 per cent.

Kolkata

Mirchi stayed the top of the heap in Kolkata as well, although it slipped a 0.9 percentage points, to end at a share of 18.8 per cent. Big FM stayed at the second position this week too, although it slipped 0.6 percentage points, to end at a share of 14.7 per cent. Aamar FM gained 1.8 percentage points to end with a share of 12.7 per cent. Friends FM followed at a close fourth with a share of 11.6 per cent.

Mumbai

Mirchi stole past established leader Red FM in Mumbai, gaining 1.9 percentage points to end with a share of 17.2 per cent. Red FM gained 0.8 percentage points too, but was pushed to second spot with a share of 16.3 per cent. AIR's FM Gold , having gained 0.3 percentage points, hogged 14.4 per cent of the market share. Big FM followed closely with a share of 13.8 per cent.
