Club FM to host five day music festival in June

MUMBAI: Mathrubhumi Group's radio venture Club FM will conduct a five day music festival in the first half of June.

Club FM programming head Priyaraj Govindraj G told Radioandmusic.com, "Yes, we are soon conducting a music festival. The venue will be either Kochi or Thrissur. Our plan is to organise something that includes a blend of all kinds of music- Hindustani, Sufi, Carnatic, folk, western, film music genres and so on."

"The dates are yet to be finalised with the legendary musicians we have approached," adds Priyaraj.

The radio network that operates in Kerala has planned to invite veteran artistes like Ilayaraja, Anushka Shankar, Sanjay Subramaniam, S P Balasubramaniam, S Janaki, Kadri Gopalnath, Umayalpuram and other luminaries of the music world.

Recently, the network secured five awards at the Pepper Creative Awards 2016, organised by the Advertising Club Cochin and Pepper Creative Award.
