Vehrnon Ibrahim quits Oye FM

MUMBAI: Oye! 104.8 FM national programming head Vehrnon Ibrahim has quit after serving the FM company for over two years.

Confirming the news with Radioandmusic.com, Ibrahim said, “It’s been an absolute privilege to work with Mr. Aroon Purie and G Krishnan. I had a great team who was fun working with and I am taking with me all the happy memories. I am grateful that I got an opportunity to work with such a company.”

There are speculations that he may join a radio company soon, but Ibrahim was reluctant to confirm his future plans. “I have decided on my future venture but wouldn’t like to disclose the details,” he said.

Oye FM, TV Today Network’s FM radio division, operates across seven cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Amritsar, Jodhpur, Patiala and Shimla.

Ibrahim had joined Oye! 104.8 FM in January 2010. Prior to the network, he was vice-president programming at Radio One.

With a decade long experience in the radio business, Ibrahim has also worked as national programming director at Red FM and format controller at Indigo FM. A keen musician, Ibrahim was a part of the 1980’s metal band titled Millenium.
