Team JWT's day out at Hello FM

MUMBAI: Team JWT Chennai, which won Sakalakalavallavan Award in the recently held Tamizh Awards in Chennai, was present in Hello FM studio for a special programme on May 5, 2011. EMI Music takes digital licensing back from ASCAP

MUMBAI: EMI Music Publishing will be resuming back its digital licensing rights previously represented by ASCAP, North American performing rights society . EMI will take all the control of its performing rights for its EMI April Music catalog with the exclusive rights to license an array of audio streaming music services, streaming music video services, so-called cloud... music services and other similar services.

Radio One official partner for Ragini MMS

MUMBAI: 94.3 Radio One is the official radio partner for the movie Ragini MMS. Radio One will feature exclusive interviews and curtain raisers of the movie throughout the month. After promoting the movie in Bengaluru, producer Ekta Kapoor visited the Radio One Studio in Mumbai for live interview with the MJs and shared interesting news and trivia about shooting the film on 24 cameras. MTV chairman and CEO McGrath resigns

MUMBAI: Viacom announced today that Judy McGrath is resigning from her position as chairman and chief executive officer of its MTV Networks division. McGrath, who began her career with the company as a copywriter at MTV in 1981, was named chairman and CEO of MTV Networks in July 2004  The company has not yet announced her successor

Canadian Music Hall of Famer Bruce Cockburn gets stamped

MUMBAI: Canada Post today announced the addition of Canadian music icon Bruce Cockburn to the Canadian Recording Artists stamp series. He joins four more outstanding Canadian singer-songwriters, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Robbie Robertson and Ginette Reno for the third installment of the very popular series. The four Canadian Recording Artists stamps will be issued on June 30, 2011. Bruce Cockburn was born in 1945 in Ottawa. In his 1964 high school yearbook Bruce stated his desire simply: "hopes to become a musician." And the rest as they say is history.
