Supratik Sengupta, born in 1981 in Kolkata, has, over the years, been winning accolades at major music competitions, such as the Dover Lane Music Competition, Swar Prabhat Talent Search Contest and the West Bengal State Music Competition. A regular artiste on AIR, who has toured abroad, Supratik began his formal training under Biswanath Das and Debprasad Chakraborty, and later was under the guidance of Sangeetacharya Ajoy Sinha Roy and Pradip Chakraborty. Joining the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 2002, he is now under the tutelage of Buddhadev Dasgupta, head of its instrumental division.

Currently a disciple of Chhannulal Mishra of Varanasi, Anita Goswami is a thumri singer with about 15 years' training behind her. She has been the disciple of Amiyo Ghosh, who was a protege of Chand Khan of the Delhi gharana; Kashinath Mishra, sarangi player and then Iqbal Ahmed Khan. She is a regular artiste on AIR, has built a substantial repertoire in khayal, thumri and bhajan and has performed in Mumbai, Miraj and Orissa.
