Zubeen Garg launches new album

MUMBAI: Singer Zubeen Garg, who shot to fame with the Ya Ali track in Gangster, is all set to launch his new album titled Rumal' through NK Productions. The idea of the album was conceived and conceptualised by the singer himself.

Apart from lending vocals to the album, Zubeen has also tried his hand at penning the lyrics too. The album also consists of a song composed by Zubeen Garg in memory of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha, a revolutionary, artist and author based in Assam.

With the release of this album, Zubeen would also be kickstarting an anti piracy awareness campaign. This album launch follows an earlier album by Zubeen, 'Zindagi', in 2007, released by Universal Music. His earlier Hindi albums include Chandini Raat, Yuhi Kabhi, Sparsh, Shradhanjali and Nupur.

His Bollywood projects this year include Sajid-Wajid's Hello, Mission Istanbul, Deshdrohi, Hastey Hastey. He broke into the professional music scene in 1992, releasing his first album – Anamika and has worked on many Assamese and Hindi albums, apart from composing for some Assamese films. He shot to fame with his rendition in the 2006 film Gangster track, Ya ali', which also won him the Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) in the best male playback singer category. His track Janne kya' from Pyaar ke side effects also gained him instant recognition.
