Times Music launches music of the film `1971` at historic venue

MUMBAI: The music launch of Amrit Sagar`s soon-to-be-released film on Indian prisioners of war during 1971 was unveiled at an historical war ship INS Vikrant, now transformed into a museum (renamed Indian Museum Ship (IMS) Vikrant) by vice admiral Sangram Singh Byce Western naval Command.

The event was hosted by the Indian Navy in association with Studio 18. The launch saw the film cast included Manoj Bajpai, Ravi Kishan, Deepak Dobriyal, Kumud Mishra, Chitaranjan Giri and Manav Kaul along with singer-composer Shibani Kashyap performing her number title `Sehlenge Hum` from the film".

The music for the film is on Times Music and its composed by19 year old Akash Sagar. The album has three songs, of which The song Bangra Pauna is rendered by Kailash Kher, written by Dev Kohli, the second song Sehlenge has lyrics penned by Zahir Anwar and sung by Shibani Kashyap, the third, Saajana has been sung by Harshdeep Kaur and written by Dev Kohli .

Says sagar, "INS Vikrant saw combat against Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistan 1971 war, hence we thought it would be the appropriate setting for the music release."

The Film 1971 has been produced by Sagar Arts and is being presented by Studio 18 and is slated to release on 9 March 2007.
