Gold FM launched in September 1998, and has now become Sri Lanka`s number one Retro Station, claims a report in Sunday Times. The station also provides news highlights every hour, coupled with four main news bulletines for the day.

The weekends are packed with listener requests and dedications with a country countdown on Sundays providing the vast country loving fans of Gold FM the best Chart Toppers in the country music scene, the report says.
