MUMBAI: After lending his voice for tracks like ‘Aye Shivani’ and ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S’, Sanjay Dutt is all set to croon for his upcoming movie ‘Department’.

Producers of the film, Viacom18 have decided to add an additional track in the movie which will be composed by Sandeep Chowta and feature Dutt as the USP. The video to be choreographed by Ahmed Khan will also feature Amitabh Bachchan and Rana Daggubati.

A source from Viacom 18 said, “The peppy edgy number has been composed by Sandeep Chowta and Dutt would be recording the song in his own voice. There’s no doubt that Sanjay Dutt is a major attraction after Agneepath. We want to make sure he is projected as the film’s USP.”

Ahmed Khan said, “We are shooting a song for ‘Department’. It’s a music video to be sung by Baba aka Sanjay Dutt. After he sang ‘Aye Shivani’ in Sanjay Chhel’s Khubsoorat which I had shot, this is the second song we are getting together for. This time around it’s more edgy with less dancing.”

Directed  by Ram Gopal Varma the film is slated to release on 18 May.
