'Rango' mastermind Eugeniy Yelchin creates virtual music band

MUMBAI: Eugeniy Yelchin, brain behind the animated characters in Oscar winner ‘Rango’ has created a virtual music band ‘Super Doggies’.

For the first time ever, a music video will feature 3D holographic animated characters spreading the message of hope for children in the world.

The unique cast of animated characters have been introduced with a political bent for this election season. The trio of ‘Super Doggies’ include Barack Obama’s dog ‘Bo’, Vladmir Putin’s dog ‘Buffy’ and ‘Abby’, the dog of a South African girl Imani who lives in the slums of Johannesburg. In a scene that climaxes into a dance party featuring both world leaders and their dogs.

The band is pursuing a dream to perform around the world with the involvement of local communities, focusing on children. Concerned about their future, ‘Super Doggies’ has focused its attention on the global issue of youth poverty.

Later in the year, the ‘Super Doggies’ will also go on a world tour featuring dancing and singing dogs combined with circus performers. A portion of the proceeds will go to animal welfare organizations to encourage people to adopt dogs.

The project has been conceived by creative genius Eugeniy Yelchin who has teamed up with project producer Eugeniy Kuritsyn and Grammy Award winning producer Neal Pogue. The effort has been getting guidance from marketing veteran Bruce Kirkland and is managed by Global Media Line, a Moscow-based creative production house.
