Radio Misty Siliguri celebrates 3 yrs with CSR

MUMBAI: Radio Misty 94.3 FM, the first FM station of North Bengal, has just completed three years of entertaining and engaging listeners, and celebrated its anniversary with on-air and ground activities.

Radio Misty partnered with Sukna Games and Sports Association to organize a blood donation camp, and teamed up for sports activities in Tindharia, a kids carnival and a family fashion show at Siliguri.

At midnight, the Radio Misty team was live on air with its memories, and interacted with listeners. The Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Gangtori Dutta, Member of Parliament Suraj Pathak and  Deputy Mayor Nantu Paul joined people from all walks of life to wish Radio Misty on air  The station claims its listeners broke records by sending the maximum numbers of smses to wish Happy Birthday to Radio Misty,... and that throughout the day, there was a huge crowd of listeners with flowers and cakes... thronging its studios.

While on end of the spectrum there was the laudable CSR initiative of blood donation, on the other (environmentally speaking) there was, as an official statement from Misty puts it, a display of spectacular fireworks....

Nishant Mittal, CEO, Radio Misty, said, It has been a wonderful journey since we launched in 2007… We have received a lot of affection from listeners. We have received about 7000 letters per month and this is a record. We have always tried innovative ways to connect with listerners… who have supported our innovations and made us the Number One fm station of the region....
