* Afternoon show marks birthday with tribute to the 90s

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi celebrated the completion of two  years of the show Dheemi Local with a tribute to the 90s, Pyaar 90s Ishtyle,  on Saturday at Oberoi Mall, Goregaon. RJs Sangeeta and Neha, who have made the show, were anchoring live from 11am to 5pm.

Radio Mirchi listeners participated in the Dheemi Local fashion show, dressed as hit jodis of the 90s like Salman and Madhuri, Salman and Raveena, Aamir and Urmila, and also danced to songs like Oonchi Hain Building, Kabhi Tu Chhaliya Lagta Hai and many  others.

Also present were Bollywood and lifestyle celebrities, the sensational �cheez badi hai mast mast' Raveena Tandon, and top designers Ashley Rebello, the man behind many of Raveena's glamourous outfits, and Rocky S, the designer renowned for his fashion creations.

Raveena too went up on stage and shook a leg with the contestants. The actress, who made a special mark in the 90s with her super-hit films and blockbuster songs, commented, I am overwhelmed to see the honour of the splendid era of the 90s. Dheemi Local is my favourite show and it feels great to see the enthusiastic contestants bring alive the memorable moments of the 90s....

Rocky S gave Mirchi listeners Sunita and Rajkumar the Mr and Mrs Tommy Hilfiger Award for the Best Dressed Couple, while Ashley Rebello declared Irshad and Harshita as winners of the 90s Nautanki round. The little performers, Mohit and Arya, were awarded Radio Mirchi Ki Jhakkas Jodi by Raveena Tandon.
