NEW DELHI: Senior media person Pranjal Sharma has been appointed as an advisor in Prasar Bharati to devise strategies on 'News Media and Content Strategy'.

Prasar Bharti sources confirmed the news with Radioandmusic.com but refused to divulge more details as a formal announcement is yet to be made.

Sharma is expected to help the public broadcaster to foray into new fields in media. DD Sources said he will also look at the programme strategy of both All India Radio and Doordarshan.

Sharma was until recently executive editor at Bloomberg UTV, which he had helped set up in India.

With media experience of around 21 years, Sharma has also worked at TV Today Network (Business Editor), CNBC TV18 (Assistant Editor, Anchor), Business Today (Sr Asst Editor), Indian Express (Asst Editor), India Today (Principal Correspondent).
