Live from the Console promotes music education globally

MUMBAI: Live from the Console has tied up with 'Playing for Change', a non-profit organization dedicated to provide music and arts education to underprivileged children worldwide.

With the association, 'Playing For Change Day' initiative this year will feature performances by upcoming artistes like Rachel Varghese, Vivek Rajagopalan (Carnatic, electronica, world) and Vivienne Pocha (soul, funk & pop). The initiative held annually is dedicated to provide music and art education to underprivileged children worldwide.

It will also present a documentary 'On the Road' with the 'Playing for Change' Band. The documentary showcases first-ever live recording featuring performances from their successful 2009 world tour. The organization will host similar live events in various countries across North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

The event will be held on 22 September in Mumbai.
