MUMBAI: Highlighting the year with a variety of unique initiatives, Big FM has now roped in bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor as a radio jock for its popular afternoon show Big Memsaab.

Making her debut on the airwaves, the diva will host a special segment titled ‘Big on Style’ from 11am-2pm, every Monday-Friday across 31 stations beginning 24 December 2012. The show Big Memsaab also includes other segments like a food special called Big Chef with Chef Rakesh Sethi and a daily television update called Episode 927.

Kapoor will impart tips to make every woman a glam diva by unveiling trends, explaining the ideal way to dress for different body types, analyzing dressing styles of the entertainment industry, and providing haircare, skincare and personal grooming tips to listeners.

Speaking about her radio debut, Kapoor said, “Having worked in movies and also television, I was extremely keen to try a new medium – hence I decided to do radio. I am very excited about my radio debut on Big FM’s afternoon show, Big Memsaab. I will be hosting a segment called ‘Big on Style’ through which I will share some of my personal tips along with trends that I have observed and share them with my listeners. I am confident that my fans will continue to support me as I undertake this new journey and will enjoy the show even further.”

While most bollywood stars are witnessed taking up stints on television, this is perhaps one of the rare moments when a leading bollywood actress has taken up a different medium of connecting with fans across the country.
