Disney`s `My School Rocks` culminates in Delhi

MUMBAI: The inter-school dance competition `My School Rocks` which is inspired by Disney Channels movie High School Musical 2, culminated in Delhi.

Kids coming from various schools in Delhi competed during the auditions. The performances were reviewed by celebrity choreographer, Shiamak Davar.

Performances will be pitted against schools from seven other cities including Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata.

Davar will choose the eight finalists representing each of these cities. The vignettes of these finalists` performances would be aired on Disney Channel for viewers to vote for their favorite performance.

The winning school team, chosen on the basis of an audience poll and Davar`s points, will get the opportunity to star in a music video to be choreographed by him on one of the songs from High School Musical 2. It will air on Disney Channel.

Walt Disney Television International (India) SVP and MD Antoine Villeneuve said, "`My School Rocks` offers kids a unique nationwide opportunity to express themselves and celebrate teamwork. With the second edition of `My School Rocks`, we are eager to seeing High School Musical 2 fans demonstrate their passion for dance and music."

Auditions are being held in November and are expected to attract more than 1000 schools across the country. In addition, Shiamak Davar`s Institute for the Performing Arts will support and inspire the budding talent. High School Musical 2 is set to premiere across India on Disney Channel in early December this year.
