Dhamaal 24 revenues up 58% in Q2 FY10-11

MUMBAI: With all ten stations of the radio network operational, Dhamaal 24 has captured strong hold of the market in its respective regions. It posted revenue of Rs. 18.29 Million for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as against Rs. 12.16 million in the corresponding period last fiscal, a rise of 50 %.

The Half yearly revenue has grown from Rs. 18.59 Million for the period ended September 30, 09 to Rs. 29.32 Million for the Half year ended September 30, 10; a growth of 58 % showing an upward curve for the current fiscal .

Consolidated BAG Network performance, and verticals' highlights in Q2  FY10-11: For the half year ended 30 September 2010, the consolidated revenues reported at Rs 381.09 million as against 341.52 million for the corresponding period last fiscal i.e. a rise of 12 %.

Consolidated Loss has seen a reduction of 67% at Rs 29.81 Million for quarter ended 30 September 2010 as against Rs 90.12 million for the same quarter last fiscal. Similarly the loss is reduced by 39 % to Rs. 146.94 million for the Half year ended 30th September 2010 as compared to Rs 239.41 million for the same period last fiscal.

Verticals' highlights:

News24- Revenues up 7 %:  The revenues for News 24 remained consistent and posted the revenue of Rs. 70.54 Million for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as against Rs. 67.46 million in the corresponding period last fiscal, a jump of 5 %. The Half yearly revenue has grown from Rs. 122.70 million to Rs. 130.82 million for the Half year ended September 30, 10 an increase of 7%. In the crowded Hindi news market, through sustained efforts, News 24 has maintained loyal viewership, reflected in the TS viewership which consistently remains higher than its close competitors.

E24 - Revenues up 58 %: E24, the Bollywood Ka No. 1 Channel has progressed at an extremely fast pace and has beaten the established players of its genre like Zoom and stands at par with hit channels of Music genre like Channel V. It posted revenue of Rs. 107.79 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as against Rs. 56.33 million in the corresponding period last fiscal, a jump of 91 %. The Half yearly revenue has grown from Rs. 75.87 Million for the period ended September 30, 09 to Rs. 119.58 Million; an impressive growth of 58 %, showing an upward curve for the current fiscal.

Keeping in mind the tremendous response of audiences, the company has plans to take the channel abroad very soon.

Studio24:  B.A.G. Network's production house â€?Studio 24' is revamping its plans and thereby is producing various new programs. With two shows going on air soon by the end of this calendar year and a few shows in pipeline with other prestigious channels, â€?Studio 24' is set to prove itself an architect to the new dimension of television shows.

With boost in other income segment the company has been able to generate the cash profit for the quarter pegged at Rs 27.89 million as compared to Rs 1.33 million in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, up 1995 %. The net profit Before Tax posted a rise of 131 % at Rs 15.44 million as compared to Net loss of Rs 50.01 million in the corresponding Half Year last fiscal.
