7digital and TeamRock inks global deal

MUMBAI: Multi-media content creation and distribution business for the global rock community, TeamRock, has entered into a global partnership deal with digital music platform, 7digital.

Previously, TeamRock had inked a deal with Arqiva on D1 which will expire on June.

Commenting on the partnership, TeamRock CEO Billy Anderson said, "TeamRock.com is a global business. We are proudly based in the UK, but the speed of our growth means we constantly have to adapt to global demands for our product. Our fan base want streaming, downloads, specific programming, interviews and insight alongside the ability to listen back to what we produce at their leisure."

Anderson added, “This new collaboration with 7digital will allow us to provide that service. The future, for TeamRock.com, is to deliver audio that caters for how society wants to consume it. People are choosing when and how they access audio, rather than just traditional live programming."

7digital CEO Simon Cole commented, “We are proud to be the chosen partner for TeamRock as the company makes this major step change. Helping brands develop a compelling and creative audio presence in the rapidly growing global marketplace is a fundamental plank of our strategy at 7digtal and we look forward to playing our part in making TeamRock  the destination for rock fans all over the world however they want to consume their music."

Today, the two year old TeamRock has achieved one million registered users, four times its original target, stated the note.

TeamRock.com has invested in transforming rock magazines into digital products, which now available on both iOS and Android. In addition, the group has moved into new, state of the art facilities, in Pentonville Road, London, where audio, magazines, digital, visual, sales and marketing, will be housed under one roof. The radio division will also continue along with providing tailored products for their fan base and radio partners worldwide. It also has syndicated partners in various parts of the world, including Australia, Europe and Asia.

Backed by Harwood Private Equity, Team Rock has become the global home of Rock and Metal music. TeamRock engages with fans through websites and apps for mobile and desktop, digital and print magazines, radio and gaming.
