Big Music to launch Shibani Kashyap's new album

MUMBAI: Composer singer Shibani Kashyap will soon launch her fourth album under the Big Music label this September.

Kashyap will get to retain a 40 per cent royalty share of the physical as well as the digital sales.

The album has eight numbers, seven of which are composed and sung by Kashyap herself. The remaining one is a duet composed and song with disco king Bappi Lahiri. "The song composed by Bappida is a disco dance number and would create waves in the market."
Kashyap's recent feat includes recording for Pakistani music director Farukkh Abid for a play 'Tumne Chaha hi Nahi'. "With the influx of Pakistani singers in Bollywood, Indian singers must also make a mark in Pakistan. I have also composed a song with Pakistani singer Faizal Khosa and would be going to Lahore shortly to shoot the video."

The Sajna (Waisa Bhi Hota Hai, part II) singer has added another feather to her hat by composing for a Hollywood venture. She is being signed by a Los Angeles based production house, Golden Gate Studios to sing songs and compose three numbers for 'Blood Money Trail'. The movie is a dark movie based on financial terrorism and will have both Indian and international star cast including Harsh Chayya, Rajat Kapoor among others.

Next on her cards in Bollywood are The great Indian Butterfly, a film by Sarthak Dasgupta under the White Feature films banner. The singer, who is remembered for crooning the title track of Sanjay Gupta's Zinda, will also be composing a track for Gupta's next film, Acid Factory. She has also composed for Aditya Bhattacharya's Dubai Return staring Irfan Khan, Vijay Maurya, Divya Dutta among others.
