Aerosmith kicks off Global Warming tour

MUMBAI: American rock band Aerosmith kicked off the Global Warming tour on 16 June at Minneapolis, US.

The band performed on their original tracks and a string of their 70s hits, including ‘Walk This Way’, ‘Dream On’, ‘Cryin’, ‘Last Child’, ‘Walking the Dog’ and ‘Mam Kin’.

Leading up to the release of their latest album ‘Music From Another Dimension in August’, Aerosmith will perform at various places in US on this summer tour.  The band was plagued with differences between Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for quite some time, however, they have now come together to promote the album, which is their first in eight years.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler said to a website, “A year ago, nobody wanted to do an album. Now we’re all on the same page, and we’ve been burning the candle at both ends. It all comes together when the band gets on stage. It’s nothing but beautiful, and all the crap melts away. That’s when the band is a band, no matter what else is going on.”
