A R Rahman to perform in Sydney in January
MUMBAI: Composer singer A R Rahman will perform a free outdoor concert in Sydney's Parramatta Park as part of the Sydney Festival on 16 January 2010.
In light of recent attacks on Indian students in Australia, Rahman, according to his official website, wishes to demonstrate cultural diplomacy and goodwill through his performance. Sure to be one of the most talked about events of the year, Rahman is offering fans a chance to enhance the experience with the purchase of a very special package put together specifically for this show. Available exclusively from ARRahman.com, it has been termed The Jai Ho VIP Experience.
The specially-created package includes an after-show meet and greet with Rahman; a chance to take a photo with Rahman with your camera and get an autograph; and the official event T-shirt designed specifically for this show. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the KM Music Conservatory. VIP package-buyers will receive an e-mail with full details in the coming weeks, including the location to pick up your t-shirt and access pass. Details are available on the official A R Rahman website.
