MUMBAI: Following the announcement of My FM Jiyo Dil Se Awards, the station received an overwhelming response from its listeners across its nine award categories over the last few weeks.

The campaign was rolled out in My FM markets covering the seven states of Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Haryana.

The station received a positive response from listeners as they embraced the initiative wholeheartedly by applying themselves or by nominating others who have made an indomitable contribution to the society and brought about a change in people’s lives.

My FM, India’s local FM network, has announced My FM Jiyo Dil Se Awards to recognize and acknowledge the unsung hero of our society: 'the common man'. There are nine award categories in which applications were received were as follows:

1)      Education

2)      Environment Conservation

3)      Health & Sanitation

4)      Public Service

5)      Culture & Art

6)      Sports

7)      Women Welfare & Empowerment

8)      Child Care & Development

9)      Economic Development

Speaking on the initiative, My FM CEO Harrish M Bhatia said, “We are humbled by the response given by our listeners to this initiative and the sheer amount of people involvement this campaign has generated. Our endeavour to recognize ordinary people for their extraordinary achievements have touched a chord with our listeners. We intend to create more such brand properties which instil a sense of pride amongst our listeners and encourage them to take up causes for societal betterment, spreading happiness as they go along following their passion.” 

My FM has signed on Ernst & Young as the ‘official tabulators’ for the Jiyo Dil Se Awards. They will be assisting My FM right through the selection process. The multimedia awards campaign, with the impact of the My FM brand property, will resonate across radio, print and online.

The shortlisted entries in each category have been evaluated and rated by the eminent jury and selected entries will be put open for public voting this week onwards to determine the final 15 winners. The Jiyo Dil Se awards will culminate at a grand awards ceremony on 24 February, 2013 in Jaipur.
