Lucknow savours `Whatte Chai` with Radio City

MUMBAI: Doesn`t a bright morning get better with a piping hot cup of tea at your favourite tea-hangout? Celebrating Lucknow`s lesser known superstars who are successful in their own right, Radio City 91.1FM, India`s Leading Radio Network brought an innovative 3 week contest called `City ki Chai`. Listeners were invited to vote in to judge the best tea stall in their city. After a stupendous response from listeners, 15 loved and often visited tea stalls were short listed and on Friday, October 19, 2007 Sharma Ki Chai from Lalbaug was declared the winner of the Radio City`s City Ki Chai contest.

RJ Vera, Lucknow`s favourite RJ and host of the Radio City Breakfast Show invited all listeners who participated in this contest to join their favourite RJs - RJ Meenu (City Spice), RJ Puja (Hum Tum), RJ Amir (Radio City Lamhe) and RJ Fahad (Radio City Joyride) for a cuppa-tea to `Sharma Ki Chai`, Lalbaug. An elated Mr Deepak Sharma, winner of the `City ki Chai` contest shared his secret of preparing the winning brew with Radio Cityzens. Extending the excitement to all the Lucknowites, RJ Vera gave LIVE updates to the listeners of Radio City.

Radio City 91.1FM conducted the 3 week `City ki Chai` contest from October 1-18, 2007 on Lucknow`s favourite Radio City Breakfast Show. RJ Vera invited listeners to respond on their favourite tea-spots in Lucknow after which the Radio City team visited each of the tea-spots nominated. Basis the parameters of listener`s preferences, Radio City identified Lucknow`s top 3 most popular tea stalls.
