Virsa deals with the expatriate Punjabi community and its crisis of identity and morality as it tries to blend in with the new community around it even as it tries to preserve its age-old values and culture and traditions from back home in Punjab.

Talking on Music, We all are aware of Jawad Ahmad and his penchant for quality music, he's succeeded in extracting a very unique music score from singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Amanda Khan, Krishna, Fuad, Richa Sharma… and of course himself. The movie comprises of 6 original songs and 2 remixes, 2 versions and an unplugged version.. the feel.. A fresh and feel good songs which are very hummable. To add the freshness, and the romantic feel we have Rahat Fateh Ali Khan making us feel the music with his passionate voice and dedication towards music. With a smooth and subtle music, Main Tenu Samjawa Ki... to a Yaadan..., which is the punch of the movie that easily attracts every music lover….
The song, Dilbara Dilbara... is a song of expressing ones love, the naughtiness and the pleasant melodies of the song reminds of our love.

Tere Naina... is another fun song with its beautiful melodious song, soulfully rendered by Jawad Ahmad. The song is about the guy wooing a girl with his naughtiness making her believe in his love.
Vaisakhi... is a song on remembering ones country and is longing to go back to his own pride…  his own culture.

The  songs of Virsa... turn out to be very young, contemporary, cultured and also melodious at the same time.
