DRM at ABERT Congress

MUMBAI: The DRM Consortium will attend and exhibit at the 26th ABERT Congress in Brasilia (19-22 June) in order to showcase the developments and full potential of the DRM standard, now fully recommended by ITU for both AM (DRM30) and VHF (DRM+).  Consortium members will present equipment, receivers and latest information on DRM+ trials at booth 16.

As Brazil prepares to enter into the digital age, this is a chance for Brazilian broadcasters, regulators, engineers, researchers and members of the public to learn more about DRM, the only open global standard for all types of radio stations (large national, regional and small community stations).

DRM senior officials and experts will be attending the event which "is an opportunity to show how much DRM has progressed in these last 12 months. It is really exciting to be in Brazil, says Ruxandra Obreja, DRM Consortium chair, and celebrate 90 years of radio broadcasting at this crucial moment for digital radio in Brazil and Latin America. DRM has lots to show on latest technical and receiver developments”.
