NINE FM is providing publicity to the programme Ten Minutes to Earth... which is a programme scheduled for 25th June 2010. This is an initiative taken up by the Forest Department of Sikkim where the citizens of Sikkim will be distributed saplings of different flowering and fruit bearing species. Armed with these saplings they will all proceed towards a five hectare land where all these saplings will be planted.

NINE FM has been encouraging people of Sikkim to come forward and contribute to this noble cause. On the day of the programme, live bytes of dignitaries and common people will be aired from the venue.

Mr. Bobby Gupta, Chief Executive, NINE FM remarked, NINE FM is a part of every household in Sikkim so it is imperative of us to be a part of something which would be beneficial for people in general. We understand that through our medium we can spread maximum awareness among people so we have taken up this noble cause of leaving behind a greener Sikkim for our future generations....
