B4U Music celebrates Singing Legend Lata Mangeshkar's 80th Birthday

MUMBAI: Lata Mangeshkar the name needs no introduction. The queen of Indian melodies is the recipient of prestigious Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor. She has sung songs in 20 regional languages. In 1974, The Guinness Book of Records listed Lata Mangeshkar as the most recorded artist in the history, stating that she had reportedly recorded "not less than 25,000 solo, duet and chorus backed songs in 20 Indian languages" between 1948 and 1974.

An artist with immense talent, she is the voice of Hindi Film Industry from the 40's till date. Her musical journey includes lending her voice to actresses' like Madhubala in 1940s to Waheeda Rehmaan, Sadhna,in the 50's &60's to current Bollywood Beauties like Madhuri Dixit in Dil To Paagal hai and Preity Zinta in Veer Zaara.
