MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi and Purani Jeans with RJ Anmol will give listeners another beautiful opportunity to get ‘up close & personal’ with some of the biggest and celebrated names of the Golden Era with Season 2 of Agar Tum Na Hote.

Like the previous edition, Agar Tum Na Hote with RJ Anmol will bring fans closer to the legends of the Golden Era through the stars of today. The show will pay tribute to these legends by taking listeners and fans on a nostalgic journey of their idols.

Kick-started on 18 July, the show has commenced with the ravishing Dimple Kapadia co-hosting it with RJ Anmol. For two days (18 and 19) the listeners of Purani Jeans will be living the life of the late Rajesh Khanna, India’s first superstar, as Dimple will be attempting to sketch her life with the star exclusively for the listeners of Radio Mirchi. With this, she will be sharing some unheard anecdotes and interesting facts about Rajesh Khanna that will surely make the listeners fall in love with this superstar all over again. This is the first time that Dimple Kapadia has given an interview to any radio station and in this exclusive interview RJ Anmol will be exploring the various shades of Kakaji’s  life.

The fans and listeners will also be hearing about the bond Rajesh Khanna had with his daughters. Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar will be adding to the fun by sharing his love and affection for Rajesh Khanna and how he would like to go back in time to witness the super-stardom of his father-in-law. To culminate the show, RJ Anmol will be accompanying Dimple Kapadia to Bandra Promenade to unveil Rajesh Khanna’s statue at UTV’s Walk of the Stars on occasion of his first death anniversary.

In the following week, RJ Anmol will be continuing to celebrate the golden era with Sonu Nigam. On 25 and 26 July, the musical genius, Sonu Nigam will be talking his heart out about his musical idol Md. Rafi. Popular lyricist and screenwriter Prasoon Joshi will be taking listeners on a poetic life journey of Kaifi Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi on 1 and 2 August. In the week after that Indian cinema’s most sought after filmmaker and screenwriter, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra will gush over the impeccable and inimitable work of Sahir Ludhianvi.
