Mirchi keeps holds on three metros, Big FM holds strong in B'lore

MUMBAI: Big FM slid up marginally in Bangalore while Mirchi slipped down a mite, but overall Radio Mirchi kept up status quo in the other three metros where RAM has its presence.

Bangalore: Big FM upped 0.1 percentage points to end the week with a share of 19.4 per cent, while Mirchi slipped 1.5 percentage points to end the week with a share of 17.5 per cent. Fever stayed at third place with an unchanged 15 per cent market share. Radio City managed to climb up two points to end with a share of 13.1 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow was next with a share of 10.7 per cent.

Delhi: All the top three stations in the capital experienced a rise in listenership in the week ended Children's Day. Mirchi gained 0.9 percentage points to end with a week of 24.4 per cent, while Fever gained 0.1 points to end at second position with a share of 18.9 per cent. AIR FM's Gold station climbed 0.7 points to end at third position, a share of 17.1 per cent. Red FM was a distant fourth, slipping 0.1 points to end with a share of 9.2 per cent.

Kolkata: Mirchi slipped 0.6 points in Kolkata to end the week with a share of 20 per cent, but stayed head and shoulders above Big FM which lost 1.4 points to end with a share of 15.9 per cent. Friends was the gainer, climbing 0.2 points to end third with a share of 14 per cent. Aamar was fourth with a share of 10.3 per cent, while Fever came in fifth with a share of 7.6 per cent.

Mumbai: Mirchi slipped in the commercial capital too but ended with a share of 17.5 per cent, but stayed way ahead of Red FM, which stayed at a share of 13.8 per cent and had to share second position with Radio City, which climbed 0.1 points during the week. AIR FM Gold had a share of 13 per cent, a climb of 0.5 percentage points.
