RAM week 09: BIG FM regains top position in Mumbai; albeit drop in shares

MUMBAI: BIG FM continues to dominate in Mumbai despite a drop in shares by 0.7 per cent, resulting to 18.1 per cent, and T.S.L. of 6.24, at the end of Week 09. BIG FM continues to lead Radio City as the best performer in the city. Radio City, too, dropped the shares from 17.3 per cent to 16.1 per cent, and the T.S.L. dropped further to 5.19. However, Radio City continues its chase against BIG FM for the top spot, ending the week at the second position. Fever FM retained the third position, as shares continue to drop from 14.1 per cent to 13.9 per cent, and T.S.L of 7.06 (highest in the city). Radio Mirchi (13.2 per cent shares) and Red FM (11 per cent), the two stations that did not drop the figures in shares, follow Fever FM at the fourth and fifth positions respectively, whereas Oye! FM (3.2 per cent) retains Week 08 position.

In Delhi, despite experiencing a drop in the shares, compared to the previous week, Fever FM retained the top spot with the shares of 19.1 per cent. However, the T.S.L for Fever FM increased from 4.43 to 4.48. Radio Mirchi closes the gap for the top position with shares rising by 0.2 per cent, and retaining the second position with the shares of 13.8 per cent. Radio City finished the week at the third position with 11.9 per cent of shares and T.S.L. of 3.2. Following closely, with 11.8 per cent shares and T.S.L. of 3.29, BIG FM retains the fourth position. Red FM (shares- 10.6 per cent), Oye! FM (shares- 6.3 per cent) finish the week at fifth and sixth positions, respectively. Hit FM (shares- 4.1 per cent) finish at the bottom of the chart with previous week's figures in shares.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi's escalation in shares ended with Week 09's figures dropping to 19 per cent. However, the drop by 0.7 per cent did not stop Radio Mirchi from retaining the top spot in the city. BIG FM's shares continue to grow with latest week's figure show 15.9 per cent shares, and T.S.L. of 5.25, thus ensuring the second position in the city. Fever FM finished Week 09 at the third position with shares of 15.5 per cent and T.S.L dropping from 5.38 to 5.17. Oye! FM retains the fourth position with shares of 10.4 per cent. Red FM climbed up a position, after dropping three positions last week, to end the week at the sixth position (shares- 8; T.S.L.- 3.01), behind Aamar FM (shares- 9.2 per cent; T.S.L.- 3.38). Friends FM (4.5 per cent) and Power FM (2.9 per cent) retain last week's positions at the bottom of the chart.

Radio City Bengaluru becomes the only top positioned station to experience growth in shares. The station finished the Week 09 with figures - shares of 24.3 per cent and T.S.L.- 10.01(highest in the city). Big FM retained the second position in Bengaluru despite a fall in the shares to 20.6 per cent and T.S.L to 8.07. Radio Mirchi's shares increased from 16.1 per cent to 16.6 per cent, retaining the third position. Fever FM (13.8 per cent), and Red FM (5.1 per cent) finished the week at fourth and fifth positions respectively. Radio Indigo recorded the lowest per cent of shares in the city (1.9) and T.S.L of 3.01.
