Radioandmusic.com announces the third IRF 'Sound of India' Contest

MUMBAI: The International Radio Festival (IRF) together with Indiantelevision.com group's Radioandmusic.com and Mixcloud.com have teamed up to find the Indian FM Radio Show and Radio jockey of 2013 to be showcased at this year's IRF Festival in Zurich, Switzerland which is being held from 3-7 September.

Says Indiantelevision.com group founder, CEO Anil Wanvari, "We are delighted to partner with the IRF and Mixcloud in the selection of that one RJ and radio show which can be showcased at the IRF in Zurich, Switzerland. Over the past two years, RedFM's Malishka (2012) and Radio Mirchi's Jeeturaaj (2013) have kept the Indian flag flying high at IRF impressing all with their versatility and originality. We believe that this year too the Indian FM radio stations will respond with as much enthusiasm as they have in the past with samplers of their radio producers and RJs' recording like they have in the past two years."

Adds IRF's Director Darryl von Daniken, "We are delighted to announce the Sound of India contest which we conduct in partnership with radioandmusic.com and Mixcloud. And we are looking forward to hosting the winners of the contest - an RJ and its show producer - in Zurich in front of a very large representation of the radio fraternity and globally. Like in the past, the RJ and show producer will be offered complimentary travel and accommodation courtesy of the festival's partners SWISS, Switzerland & Zurich Tourism.."

As part of the Sound of India contest Indian FM radio stations have to upload samples of shows aired live in 2013 on Mixcloud, which is to be announced shortly. The jury will go through all submissions as a preliminary filtration process, followed by a final selection.
