MUMBAI: Warner Music Group’s music publishing arm- Warner/ Chappell Music has announced Paul Khan as its new executive vice president and CFO. Khan, a media and music veteran executive who previously held roles in EMI and Viacom, will report to Warner Chappell Music’s CEO- Jon Platt.

At the time of the announcement, Platt, who termed Khan a “respected and accomplished” executive in the business, said, “As we continue to expand the avenues of exposure for our songwriters, Paul’s financial savvy and diverse background will make him a tremendous asset to our growth and development.”

Speaking about his new role, Khan in a statement said, “They are on the leading edge in redefining what it means to be a full-service music publishing company in the 21st century, and I'm looking forward to working closely with Jon and his amazing team to help realize that vision."

Prior to joining Warner/Chappell Music, Khan was with Viacom where he served for two years as SVP, and also served as CFO for six years with EMI. He has also held various posts in Himalaya Capital and Primedia.
