MUMBAI:  They ruled reality television as the undisputed leaders of the weekend 9 PM slot all through the show’s gloriously successful eight month run in 2017. The universal popularity of the previous season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs as the No 1 non-fiction show across GECs stands testimony to how Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has constantly re-invented itself, thereby staying relevant to the dynamic and ever-evolving tastes of Indian audiences. And the kids are back to blaze your screens with their undeniable talent, their relentless energy, their verve and undying spirit to learn and grow with music as Season 7 of Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs powered by Brooke Bond Red Label premieres on 9 February and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM only on Zee TV.

Zee TV Business Head Aparna Bhosle said, “After breaking records with the previous season, we now present audiences with season 7 of our immensely popular franchise, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. The core pitch this year emerged from a basic insight that the pressure to perform in today’s competitive environment has begun to take its toll on children. In order to reconnect them with their true potential and make real progress in life, they need a tool that can serve as a catalyst for growth. Celebrating music as one such propeller that fuels the kids’ all-round development, the mantra this season is #MusicSeBadhengeHum. We have on board a panel of extremely talented judges – some of the most sought after singers from the industry Shaan, Amaal Mallik and Richa

Sharma who will, at every point, hand-hold the contestants through this musical journey and help them scale their fullest potential. A few years after his extremely popular stint as the Jamai Raja of Indian television, we are also happy to welcome Ravi Dubey back on the channel as the charming host of the season.”

Having made it entirely on his own steam despite hailing from a family of musical geniuses, the multi-talented singer, lyricist and composer Amaal Mallik will be making his judging debut this season.  Amaal has composed hit music for superstar Salman Khan’s film, Jai Ho, the popular track Naina from Khoobsurat and Sooraj Dooba hain from Roy that got the entire nation grooving to his tunes. In barely 3 years, having given the industry multiple hit compositions, he has earned the reputation of a Gen Next singer. Returning as a judge on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa after a four-year hiatus will be Bollywood’s king of romantic melodies, Shaan Mukherjee popularly known as Shaan. Having sung in multiple languages, Shaan has been widely appreciated for being one of the most versatile singers in our industry. Shaan’s golden voice in dreamy love songs like Jab Se Tere Naina and

Chaand Sifarish has won the singer multiple awards over the years. The third judge on the esteemed panel is a singer whose strong, rock-solid vocals can give all the honey-laced, conventional sweet voices a run for their money.  Widely recognized as the queen of Sufi music,  she has powerhouse tracks like Sajda, Maahi Ve and the Holi song from Padmaavat to her credit.

The three judges will be monitoring the kids very closely alongside a panel of 30 talented jury members. Adding his own unique brand of suave swagger and charm to the show will be Indian televisions biggest heartthrob- Zee TV’s very own Jamai Raja, Ravi Dubey who steps in as host of the new season.

Judge Amaal Mallik said, “I feel privileged and honored to be associated with a show like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs that has been a pioneer music reality show in the industry. This season is very special as I will be foraying into TV as a judge and I am looking forward to sharing space alongside dignitaries like Richa Sharma and Shaan. The young kids are extremely talented and gifted, and I am glad to have got this opportunity to mentor them. As a composer and judge of the show, I will be focusing more on guiding the kids and sharpening their skills.  I’ll be an elder brother, a friend to them, but at the same time give them honest feedback. I believe that at such a tender age they should be told where they’re going wrong and some suggestions given now will help improve their singing by leaps and bounds in the coming years. I will be encouraging the young singing enthusiasts and helping them to hone their talent so that they set foot in the industry someday as trained singers.”

Judge Shaan said, “I have been associated with Zee TV as a judge of Sa  Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs in the year 2014-2015  and I am looking forward to a wonderful new season.  The show has received great accolades and I hope that this season helps us set new benchmarks of excellence in terms of talent. We have an array of exceptionally talented singers from across the country and I am going to lay the groundwork for the kids and help them in every way possible.  They are all great performers and their passion for singing is definitely going to double up the entertainment.”

Judge Richa Shama said, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was a very special journey for me and before I could  part ways with it, I am already blessed to be a part of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. I am elated to be a part of this season of a singing reality show that focuses on making music the key catalyst for the overall development of our kid participants. We want to restore their innocence and groom them to nurture their musical abilities. Moreover, this season I will share the judges’ panel with Amaal Mallik who is a brilliant composer, musician and my dearest friend Shaan. I hope that the audiences enjoy our camaraderie.”

Host Ravi Dubey said, “It is like a homecoming for me as I have been closely associated with Zee TV in the past and received immense love for my character ‘Jamai Raja’. I decided to be a part of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa because 24 years after its first season went on air, the show continues to be the most

definitive platform for singing in the country.  It has managed to stay relevant for audiences by constantly reinventing itself. I thoroughly enjoy hosting as much as I love acting and over the years, I have developed a certain penchant for hosting television shows and I am happy to be a part of a prestigious show like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.” With the same platform that gave birth to musical gems like Hemant Brijwasi, Pavni Pandey, Azmat Hussain, Shreyan Bhattacharya and Anjali Gaekwad coming back with an all-new season, gear up to watch the finest young talent from across the country grow on the stem of their musical abilities and scale their fullest potential under the guidance of India’s biggest musical maestros.
