Spectrum fee for community radio extended

MUMBAI: After more than one month of suspense on the spectrum fee for community radio stations (CRS), the Wireless Planning and coordination (WPC), under the Ministry of Communications have finally issued an order saying that there will no change in the spectrum fee till September 2013. This means that CRS will still pay Rs 19, 200 for royalty and Rs 500 license fee as per the order of 13 February. This is the continuation order.

Taylor Swift wins big at Billboard Awards

MUMBAI: Country-pop star Taylor Swift struck it big at the Billboard Awards. The singer nominated in 11 categories won eight of them including top artist and top Billboard 200 album for 'Red'. The album has sold over 3.7 million copies. Swift's wins in other categories included top female artist, top country artist and top digital songs artist. 'Red' topped the Billboard 200 and country albums categories. Her  song 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' was named top country song.
