FGL, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood score at CMT awards 2013

MUMBAI: Florida Georgia Line (FGL), Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood won big at the CMT Music Awards. The fan voted awards for 2013 saw Florida Georgia Line's ‘Cruise’ earn duo video of the year and breakthrough video, while Lambert took female video for ‘Mama's Broken Heart’ and also snagged CMT performance of the year for a live version of 'Over You' from the 2012 ‘CMT Artists of the Year’ special. Underwood's video of the year came for ‘Blown Away’, a song built around tornado imagery.

Michael Jackson's daughter attempts suicide

MUMBAI: Paris Jackson, late pop superstar Michael Jackson’s 15-year-old daughter is ‘physically fine’ after being rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital following an alleged suicide attempt and is receiving appropriate medical attention. As per reports, Jackson had been taken from her family's home in Calabasas, California, by ambulance at about 2 am, on Wednesday. Her mother Debbie Rowe, confirmed the suicide bid, saying her daughter has had "a lot going on lately". Reports said she cut her wrists with a kitchen knife and took as many as 20 ibuprofen pills.

Satish Kaushik's 'Gang of Ghosts' will have taste of the 40s-70s music

MUMBAI: Music composer duo Dharam Bhatt and Sandeep Patil, who shot to fame in bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakht Charitra, Rann and Department, are all set to surprise fans with Satish Kaushik's directorial venture ‘Gang of Ghosts’. The duo has composed six tracks for Gang of Ghosts, a Hindi remake of Bengali blockbuster ‘Bhooter Bhabishyat’. Producer Ratan Jain (Venus Records & Tapes) has bought the rights of the 2012 film, which was a horror-based comic entertainer.
