Ram Gopal Varma releases music of 'The attacks of 26/11'

MUMBAI: Ram Gopal Varma popularly known as RGV is back in action. The director, who had denied plans of making a movie on the heart-rending tragedy of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks released the music of the film ‘The attacks of 26/11’ on 11 February at Leopold Cafe, one of the first locations terrorists attacked on 26 Nov 2008 in Mumbai. RGV had visited the Taj Mahal hotel with the then chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and actor-son Ritesh soon after the 26/11 terror attacks, and denied speculations that he would make a movie on the tragedy amid huge public and media outcry.

Private FM radio has evolved and matured over the years

The day aims at specially celebrating the power of the medium and improving international co-operation between broadcasters. Island Def Jam Music Group appoints David Massey as president

MUMBAI: The Island Def Jam Music Group  (IDJMG) has appointed David Massey as the president with immediate effect. The move is stated to be a part of the group’s expansion into its A&R and creative initiatives. The announcement was made by East Coast Label Group chairman and CEO Barry Weiss. In his new role, Massey will report to Weiss and will work closely alongside Island Def Jam Music Group COO and president Steve Bartels. AIR to broadcast special programmes on World Radio Day

NEW DELHI: All India Radio has planned several programmes for tomorrow to mark World Radio Day, alternating between musical programmes by children to interviews with radio veterans and other listeners. A musical programme by children aged between eight and fourteen years will be broadcast tomorrow night on AIR’s main channel, the Indraprastha Channel. There will also be a discussion on the National Radio Scenario Today on the Indraprastha Channel tomorrow at 10.30 am.
