What could have been: When Led Zeppelin turned down Clinton

MUMBAI: The famous disbanding of one of the world’s premier band, Led Zeppelin, remained as even invitation from former US President Bill Clinton could not get the remaining members to reform for a benefit concert. CBS’ webcast on Monday 6 May revealed that Clinton was enlisted to ask the British rock legends (who disbanded in 1980 following death of drummer Jon Bonham) to get back together last year for the Superstorm Sandy benefit concert in New York City. “He asked, they said no”.

YouTube expected to announce paid channel soon

MUMBAI: Popular video sharing site YouTube is expected to announce the launch of a series of its new paid channels in the coming weeks. The new paid channels will be in addition to its existing free channels that receive more than a billion hits monthly. It is not clear if the new channels will be advertisement-free. Earlier reports from the media had said viewers could be charged as little as $ 1.99.

Big FM Delhi culminates 'Rasoi Ki Rani' on a high note

MUMBAI: Big FM’s Delhi station recently culminated the on-ground campaign of its popular cooking contest ‘Rasoi Ki Rani’ with Chef Rakesh Sethi. The event witnessed a large section of women from the society participating in the month long activity. The campaign received over 1000 registrations from house-wives across Delhi, coming forward to fight for the coveted title from across the on-air promotions and on-ground resident welfare association activations. As per the entries, the teams were divided into four zones of North, South, East and West Delhi.
