Bhoomi Trivedi: I wish to take one step at a time

MUMBAI: Bhoomi Trivedi says she wants to be completely prepared before jumping on to any more Bollywood projects. The former 'Indian Idol' contestant, who became prominent for her song 'Ram Chahe Leela' from the film 'Ram-Leela', is in no hurry to push her singing career.

"Seriously speaking, even after 'Ram Chahe Leela' I am not really approaching composers because I am extremely shy. I want my songs to speak about myself. But I have started connecting much more with people than I did earlier." said Trivedi.

Trivedi revealed she has a long list of people whom she wants to work with, but prefers taking one step at a time. "I believe that whatever is yours is yours. No one can take it away from you. Thus I take things as they come. I wish to work with everyone in this industry, but before that I have to be fully prepared with my singing skills. Not that I am not prepared, but I would like to be at my best when I start working with any ace music composer," she said.

Trivedi stated that she is currently working on a few projects, but remained tight-lipped about them. However, she will be seen performing during the festival of Navrati at the Carnival Raas Jalsa. The singer has also appealed to all her fans to respect women. "Goddess Amba is a female avatar and I ask all my fans to respect all women in their lives," she concluded.
