Watch Shaan, Saurav Mandal and Harshdeep Kaur on Coke Studio@MTV

MUMBAI: Watch Shaan, Saurav Mandal and Harshdeep Kaur perform Friday, 5th August, 7pm only on MTV

This week's episode of Coke Studio@MTV will see renowned Indian playback singer Shaan share the stage with folk singer Saurav Mandal, who hails from the enchanting tide-country of the Sunderbans. Though from completely diverse musical backgrounds, the two artists shared an amazing camaraderie during the shoot, owing to their Bong connection!

And Harshdeep Kaur, an MTV reality show winner at the tender age of 14, was the first artist to be finalized for Coke Studio@MTV. Harshdeep, a versatile sufi cum folk singer who on her brother's insistence never performs without her trademark Pagadi' proved it yet again that music for her is like oxygen that keeps her going as she performed the song Hoor' inspired by Sultan Bahoor.

When Harshdeep finally got a chance to perform alongside her idol Shaan on the song â€?Tum Jo Mil Gaye Ho', she was both ecstatic and nervous  Shaan played the complete mentor and   helped her out and made her feel at ease which was evidently visible in the outcome of the performance.

When the Tanha Dil' singer Shaan first heard folk artist Saurav Mandal sing, he was floored by his performance. They complemented each other so well in their performance that Shaan copied Saurav's steps while they sang their duet. Infact Shaan was in so much awe of them that he almost said that "Yeh Toh Mujhe Khaa Jayenge" . Saurav and Shaan sang O Majhi Re' and mesmerized the audience with their perfect taal mel.

The highlight of the performance was this particular instrument- Ektara that Saurav used throughout the performance. The Ektara is made out of dried Pumpkin! With the help of his Ektara, Saurav performed with Shaan on the song O Majhi Re'.

The Saxophone used in this week's episode is a special edition from RD Burman's Group. Leslie wanted to recreate the same magic and hence called for the same Saxophone on the sets of Coke Studio@MTV. Raj Singh Soda did justice to Leslie's dream by performing a solo track and recreating Pancham da's magic on the prestigious platform of Coke Studio@MTV.
