Universal Music India releases songs of Assamese movie 'Borolor Ghar'

MUMBAI: Universal Music has entered the Assamese Music industry and ‘Borolor Ghar’ is the first ever Assamesse movie album released by Universal Music in 2012.

Universal Music Group GM P K Prasannan said, “Borolor Ghar songs are very youthful and sung by my favorite singers like Debojit and Tarali Sarma. “Borolo Ghar” is our First Assamesse Movie and we are looking forward to acquire more Assamessse film songs in future. The songs of ‘Borolor Ghar’ will be made available on CDs, Mobile Platforms, Nokia, Flipkart, ITunes, Amazon and more for downloads. ‘Borolor Ghar’ songs will also be released internationally by Universal through its global offices spread across.”

Borolor Ghar (The Bachelor's House) is also the first Assamese movie from film maker Mani C Kappen. It is a romantic fun movie about a youth from a village in Assam who marries a Bengali girl while working in Bengal and there after his struggle to introduce the girl to the family as his wife. The Movie is produced and directed by Mani C Kappen under the banner Okay productions.  The songs in the movie are penned by Dilip Kumar Borah and Music is by K R Srijit. The movie stars Utpal Das and Debasmita Baerjee are in the lead roles.

Borolor Ghar director Mani C Kappen said, “The songs of Borolor Ghar will be a different experience for people in Assam.
