Nine FM partners the 31st All India Governors Cup

MUMBAI: NINE FM, the first FM Station of Gangtok is all set ready to bring the excitement of the 31st All India Governor's Cup conducted by Sikkim Football Association at Palzor Stadium. This tournament is one of the few tournaments of the country which is being organized uninterruptedly for the last thirty years.

The tournament started from 5th September and its final is slated for 22nd September 2009.The tournament was officially declared open on 9th September 2009 by Shri Balmiki Prasad Singh, H.E the Governor of Sikkim while Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Dr.Pawan Chamling graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

This year for the first time, Sikkim Football Association has given the opportunity to all the local clubs of Gangtok to play the preliminary pre-qualifying matches of the Gold Cup.

The following football teams of national repute beside teams from neighboring countries are participating in the prestigious tournament of the country.

NINE FM as the official radio partner is instrumental in promoting the tournament on air in Sikkim & North Bengal. On-air match updates are not just restricted to Sikkim but it is also aired in NINE FM, Siliguri for the people of North Bengal.
