Muzzia Launches Streaming Music Service in Eastern Europe, Powered by JUKE

MUMBAI: Today Muzzia announced that it will operate the JUKE streaming music service in Eastern Europe under its own brand, Muzzia, The Land of Music (www.muzzia.com). As part of the partnership deal, Hungary has officially launched the service and will be followed by 12 more countries in the CEE region. Muzzia will operate independently and run the service as a white label store, powered by JUKE. JUKE is a consumer branch of 24-7 Entertainment GmbH, Europe’s leading B2B service provider for digital music and subsidiary of Europe’s number one electronics and entertainment retail group Media-Saturn.

Gone are the days of downloading and storing time-consuming, endless files on your hard-drive. With Muzzia, subscribers can effortlessly and instantly access millions of tracks from all of the major and independent labels via smartphones (Android and iPhone OS), PCs and Macs. All devices are automatically synched so favourites and playlists are always up-to-date and moreover, available offline via the mobile app. Subscribers can set up individual playlists without the need for additional software or installation of a player or alternatively, they can use “Mixtapes”, preloaded playlists available in various themes.

Muzzia is available in a number of different audio formats including the revered Dolby® Pulse. Dolby Pulse is an optimized and efficient audio codec developed for PCs and mobile devices and ensures reliable delivery over any network. It offers rich stereo sound at low bitrates which means smaller file sizes and faster, more reliable media streaming — especially in situations where bandwidth may fluctuate.

“Eastern Europe is a very exciting and relatively untapped market but it requires local expertise so we are very pleased to have found such an experienced and reliable partner as Muzzia to launch the streaming service. Their understanding of the region is a tremendous asset and will stand them in great stead to achieve success combined with our incredibly user-friendly service which will entice newcomers.”, said Frank Taubert, CEO & Co-Founder, 24-7 Entertainment.

A straight-forward tutorial is available to all users to illustrate just how intuitive Muzzia is and make the transition from CDs and download-to-own services, an effortless one. Consumers will have the chance to test the all-access music service for free for 30 days. Upon completion of the trial period Muzzia will be available for a flatrate of HUF 1250 per month (€4.50).

“With Muzzia’s launch a new era will begin in the way music is consumed.”, said Tamás Lónyai, CEO & Co-Founder, Muzzia, The Land of Music. “The 30-day free trial is provided for all new customers so everybody can experience the true freedom offered by this service”.
