The magical wizardry of Academy Award Winner A. R. Rahman, Gulzaar and Mani Ratnam is back to enthrall audiences with the music of Raavan, a film based on an episode from the Hindu mythological story, Ramayana. It stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.

The opening track on the album is Beera Beera a subtle description of the character portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan. The album also includes a rendition in the soulful voice of Rekha Bharadwaj for the song Khili Re.

Rahman's magic is witnessed yet again as the best voices in the industry come together for the final track Kata Kata. It features Ila Arun, Sapna Awasthi, Kunal Ganjawala Suzanne D'Mello, Sujatha Majumdar, Nikitha Nigam, Dilshad Shaikh, R.N. Iyer, Arun Ingle, Chintamani Sohoni and Gowtham Bharadwaj. And to complement the affluent sound, Director Mani Ratnam has picturised the song on a huge budget with 500 dancers in Jhansi along with choreographer Ganesh Acharya, which took four days to wrap up (read story here).
