New mobile platform allows musicians and bands to generate more revenue and more

MUMBAI: Cash-strapped musicians and bands now have a new way to connect with their fans and generate more money from gigs using ShowSlinger, a new platform launching today for iOS and Android mobile devices.

ShowSlinger's main features include:

· DigiTip Jar — allowing musicians to post their set lists on the app for fans and accept mobile tips/e-payments on site via PayPal.

· FanFunding — Unlike Kickstarter and Indiegogo, which are designed for bands and recording artists, ShowSlinger caters specifically to these audiences and allows them to reach fans and create fan funded campaigns for new gear, recording time, touring expenses, etc.

· As the ShowSlinger mobile platform expands nationwide in 2016, bands will be able to use it to book gigs at local bars, clubs and restaurants more easily than ever.

· Real-time feedback allows venues to rate performers and vice versa to bring greater parity and fairness to this underserved marketplace.

"Our vision is to improve the business side of booking live music for bands and artists," said ShowSlinge founder Paul Nikolas. "Today, we can help them with the DigiTip Jar and FanFunding features, but we see ShowSlinger becoming the band's indispensable dashboard to book all of their gigs in the future."
