Janmashtami Celebrations Galore, only on Big 92.7 FM
MUMBAI: Big 92.7 FM, India's No.1 FM Network, in keeping with the festive spirit of Janmashtami has lined up some great programming and on-ground offerings, making this day truly memorable for all the Krishna Devotee Many stations will broadcast the Janmashtami celebrations live from Mathura and Vrindavan – the birth place of Krishna, where BIG FM Agra's RJs will be present, sharing the bit-by-bit celebrations.
Celebrations are also on at BIG FM's Delhi station, where in the young flautist – Akshat Sharma, will perform at the prestigious ISKCON temple on 13 August 09 On the same day, children from the Udayan Care Orphanage will perform a dance on Krishna BIG FM's RJ Jiah will share the fun with them and will also distribute �Handi Meethais' to these kids. On the day of Janmashatmi – 14 August, BIG FM's evening show – BIG Recharge hosted by RJ Aparshakti will be live from the renowned ISKCON temple.
This Janmashtami BIG FM Kanpur is organizing fancy dress competition for the kids of the city. Children will be invited to the studio dressed as Krishna. In this fancy dress competition, children will compete against each other through various rounds, including, enacting Krishna or dancing as Krishna. BIG RJs will select the best Krishna and his byte will be played on-air for the entire day on Janmashatmi BIG FM Allahabad will invite a priest on the occasion of Janmashtami, with whom listeners can interact and learn about the Janmashatmi rituals. RJs will also visit key temples to capture the celebrations.
BIG FM Aligarh will organize a �BIG Makhanchor' contest in which children will be invited to participate in a fancy dress competition Children will be dressed as Krishna and need to enact him....the best dressed kid will be given the title of �BIG Makhanchor'. BIG FM Jodhpur will also organize a fancy dress competition for children and celebrate the festival by playing a �Handi Phod' competition with female devotees.
BIG FM Jalandhar on this occasion will host a �Lassi Drinking' competition! The station will invite the �Gopiyas' and �Gopis' to take up the challenge of drinking the largest amount of Lassi.
