MUMBAI: Goa State Aids Control Society (GSACS) will be hosting the Chak De Aids Awareness Entertainment Evening - a high voltage entertainment evening on the 14th of December at the Campal Football Ground, near Kala Academy, Panjim.

Big 92.7 FM is proud to organize this concert which will be hosted by the beautiful Rakshanda Khan and will feature electrifying performances by the queen of remixes Vaishali Samant and celebrated stand-up comedian Naveen Prabhakar who starred in the hit movie `Bombay to Goa`, among others. That`s not all. The star cast of the super hit movie `Chak De India! will be flying down to Goa especially to be part of this thrilling concert.

AIDS is an issue of concern which has impacted the lives of people on a global proportion. Millions of people including women and innocent children succumb to this deadly disease everyday. Yet the multitudes are ignorant about the disease itself and means of contracting the virus. This has lead to the rapid spread of the disease. Further lack of information has lead to the unnecessary ostracization of victims of Aids. Awareness is the key to dealing with the issue. In an endeavor to impact the lives of people who live under the shadow of this disease and to spread awareness on AIDS in Goa, the state`s first private FM station BIG 92.7 FM has joined hands with the Goa State AIDS Control Society to conceptualize and put together a fun filled evening which will entertain and educate at the same time. The concert is free for all. Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Dilraj Kaur, Project Director, GSACS, said "GSACS aims to spread awareness amongst the much at risk youth who are increasingly getting into the fold of HIV infection, when they should be economically and socially most productive".

The star studded line up for the evening will include the star cast of the super hit movie Chak De India! who have put together an amazing performance for the evening. Renowned singer Vaishali Samant of Aika Dajiba fame will woo audiences with her melodious voice while comedian Naveen Prabhakar who is also the winner of India`s Laughter Challenge will keep the crowds in splits with his wacky humor and hilarious jokes. In addition Big 92.7 FM celebrity RJs Prince Jacob and Eknath will spread the message of AIDS awareness during the concert.
