Commenting on the initiative, MY FM Business Head Rahul Namjoshi said, “We started this series of doing stand-up comedy events since last year across our market, looking at the response from the earlier event. We wanted to do a one up, the inspiration from events like cyclothons and marathons made us create this non-stop laughter dose for our audiences in Ahemdabad and Surat - Laugathon. We are glad that this event brought in so much success and we hope to look forward to creating such events in the future across our network.”

The property was promoted well through radio, digital and PR in newspaper, On Air contest was played with the listeners where they could win passes to the show. The buzz in the city was such that listeners who couldn’t win passes on air started queuing up at MY FM office.
