Anurag Kashyap turns RJ; Nawazuddin hijacks RJ Rohit Vir's show on Radio City

MUMBAI: In today's overly populated entertainment world, innovation is a must. Keeping that in mind, the 'Raman Raghav 2.0' team came up with an innovative promotional plan with Radio City. Anurag Kashyap will be hosting Radio City's crime-suspense- thriller show – 'Kissa Crime Ka'.

Anurag Kashyap will host two episodes of ‘Kissa Crime Ka’. Here he will narrate stories of two different serial killers in the radio drama series format. Speaking of the association as Founder, Phantom Films, he said, “As a character, Raman is full of nuances and quirks, and thus I liked the idea of promoting the film, through his traits. The idea of him hosting the show came from there and will help to explain the character.”

‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ is Anurag Kashyap’s latest thriller based on Ramanna, a serial killer inspired by Raman Raghav, an infamous serial killer from the 1960s.

As a part of the films integration Nawazuddin visited Radio City studio and hijacked Rohit Vir’s Show ‘Taka Tak Mumbai’ as Ramanna – the character he is playing in the film and hosted the show, holding the RJ hostage in the studio.

Speaking of the association, Radio City CEO Abraham Thomas said, “At Radio City, out-of-the-box is the box. So when Anurag told us about the idea, it seemed as quirky as a Raman-doing. Phantom Films was the perfect partner for this crime and we’ve just taken things from there for our listeners.”

Phantom Films marketing head Ranjan Singh stated, “The campaign’s central theme is that if Raman would walk out of the film then how he will react to the daily situations. For example, if he would meet an RJ in his studio, then what will happen. We had a lot of fun creating it with Radio City, and hope the listeners will like the show as much."

‘Kissa Crime Ka’ airs every Sunday at 9:00 pm on Radio City.
