indiloop launches unprecedented music remixing platform

MUMBAI: indiloop, the most accessible means to remix music for beginners, announced today the launch of an unprecedented music remixing platform. Using the isolated instrumental and vocal tracks uploaded by users, the new service has expanded its offering to allow users to pull audio from YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo and more.

indiloop was created to be the first place that people go to create music. Professional software is too complicated, and expensive. indiloop is something that can be put into the hands of the consumer or aspiring music producer/DJ.

For its users, the cloud-based platform is as simple as finding their favourite audio track and uploading or pasting the link into the indiloop mixer. From there, tracks can be dragged, dropped, and formulated into their own musical creation. Once the remix is done, users can show off their creation by sharing the stream to the social networks of their choice.

In the past, audio-mixing platforms have been notorious for overly complicated software, but indiloop promises to be completely user friendly. It does not matter if you are a fan of old school funk, new releases, or just like listening to sounds that your pet makes. indiloop's users now have the ability to create their own music genre.

Notable partnerships in place include:

Vans Warped Tour- For the second year in a row, Vans is using indiloop to increase fan engagement for the largest travelling music festival in the world. Participating labels include Fearless Records, Epitaph, Hopeless and Red Bull.

Hohokum PS4 Remix Contest- The first fan based remix contest with stems from a popular video game. Presented by Ghostly International (Ghostly Records).

Nettwerk Records Remix Contest - Featuring artists like Hey Ocean, Sarah McLachlan, Ghost Beach and Morgan Page, Nettwerk Records has partnered with indiloop to expand the reach of their marketing efforts.

“Our test drive with Fearless Records and Vans Warped Tour was undeniable proof that limiting remixing to DJs is outdated,” says indiloop CEO Erik Ashdown. “Fans want in on the action. In just 40 days, users spent an average of 41 minutes on our site, creating 8000 remixes on the indiloop beta. Their feedback called for more features, and we listened. We cannot wait to see what happens next.”

indiloop is currently available at indiloop.com as well as on mobile devices through Google Play and the App Store.
