Kailash Kher invests in Media Analytics firm

MUMBAI: Bollywood music composer and playback singer Kailash Kher has invested in a fully integrated media analytics firm in India- Kailasa Analytics & Services Pvt. Ltd, also called Kanalytics.

The company is founded by Ashutosh, who is also the CEO of Kanalytics. Commenting on Kher's role in the company, Ashutosh said, "He has invested in the company as he believes that we have the potential to grow." Ashutosh and Kher have been good friends since the early days of Kher’s music career.

Ashutosh, who is an ardent fan of Kher said, "I enjoy listening to him and still love attending his concerts."

Kher is a silent partner in this venture and has been with the company right from the company’s inception. Ashutosh started the company in 2013 and today has more than 35 members in his head-office. He holds vast experience as a broadcast and communications professional, having launched and headed multiple media formats in India. Ashutosh has also worked with Zee Network, ETC music, Sahara Filmy and TV business of Reliance ADAG.

He hopes to break-even by 2015. Ashutosh said, "The idea is to grow the company and we are sure that profits will also come."

As of now, the company does not require fresh investment but in case it needs to take a leap in terms of technology, the company will not hesitate. Ashutosh added, "I think with current resources we will break-even. Going to the next level, you might require different technology which would require fresh investment and we might take it if required."

When asked to reveal the investment put into the company, Ashutosh stated that the company has not gone through a valuation process, so cannot disclose the investment.

The company took 20 months to roll out their first product. The firm offers a wide range of efficient solutions that meet the requirements of customers in virtually every domain. It can be advertising or media agencies, individuals working in the field of entertainment, celebrities, event co-ordination companies, government agencies, industry representatives, PR agencies and others.
